Unfortunately Toastify doesn't recognise the play/pause keyboard button when pressed, so I can't map The only idea I had was to get the Toastify app (can control Spotify with custom hotkeys) and try to map the play/pause button to play/pause in Toastify. Just tested these out of interest, my only concern is to get Spotify working. which seems very limiting.Īlso tested with Groove Music where it doesn't work at all whether the active window or not. I've tested the button with Windows Media Player, it works with that, but only if the player is the active window. The play/pause button has no effect on the Spotify app whether it's the active window or not. The behaviour currently is (please note, tried with Fn key on and off, although really it should be off for play/pause to work):
The main behaviour I want is for Spotify (the windows app as opposed to the web player in browser) to play/pause when I hit the button, whether it is an active window or not. Generally super happy but the play/pause button is mostly useless and I wondered if there's a fix for this as it would be really useful to have. The i5-7200U version with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.
